There can be nothing better than enjoying a long afternoon walk in the autumn. Regular exercise not only brings increased physical health but improves wellbeing and quality of life. However, for some, a walk around the park may be painful because of hip or knee issues.
Can Robotic surgery be part of the solution?
James Hahnel is one of  the most experienced robotic hip and knee surgeons in Yorkshire. Working with the Mako hip and the Rosa robotic knee, offers cutting edge technology to support his operating and to complement the traditional techniques.
How long will it be until I can get back to going for a walk?
Everyone recovers differently, and recovery times can vary depending on your age, general fitness, condition of your joints and muscles, and the jobs or activities you do. However, as a rule of thumb, expect six weeks until you can return to light activities,  office-based work and driving. Getting back to your sporting activities depends very much on the individual some patients are returning to sport as early as six weeks post-surgery.
